Universal Say Yes To More Johnny English

It’s been seven years since we last saw inept spy Johnny English but now Universal have made a deal to bring him back to the big screen.

Variety are reporting that an August start date is likely for a sequel to the Rowan Atkinson comedy.

The original cost $40 million to produce and though it fared poorly in the US, it made a killing in worldwide takings. It looks like Atkinson will definitely be back but there’s no word on Natalie Imbruglia or any other cast members as of yet.

St. Trinian’s director Oliver Parker is on board to direct with Mr. Bean’s Holiday screenwriter Hamish McColl penning the script.
